About 2,800 years (9th century BC) ago, Rome was a small Italian village. The Spanish Steps built in the early 1700, are the monumental stairways of 138 steps. The Trevi Fountain 26 meters high and 20 meters wide, is one of the most famous fountains in the world, and the largest Baroque fountain in Rome. The Pantheon Forum, one of the very well-preserved ancient Roman building is located at the Northwest of Rome. This building was built to serve the purpose of a temple for all the gods of the Roman ancient age. Piazza Navona is a city square,  built in the 1st century AD and is located on the site of the Stadium of Domitian. It follows the form of an open space of the stadium.
