Travel to the "Spa Town" where the ancient Romans came to relax and Renaissance nobility played in the Summer. You can only imagine the magnificence of their buildings and gardens as you wander through Villa D'Este, a spectacular Renaissance Palace.

Only 45 minutes' driving from Rome, located at the foot of the Tiburtini hills, which dominate the vast quarries of travertine marble and are host to the springs bringing the sulfurous waters to the Spa town of Bagni di Tivoli, you will find the Villa D'Este, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful residences of the Renaissance.
The Villa's countless fountains, set in the heart of magnificent Italian style gardens, create a delightfully graceful symphony of carved stone, shade, lights and water.

Especially if you come from rush days of travelling and sightseeing, the Tivoli Gardens offer a welcome refuge for exhausted travelers. Located only a 45-minutes' drive from the city, Tivoli makes an ideal day trip for anyone looking for a different and relaxing experience off the beaten tourist track.

Your passionate and expert Driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel and provide you with skip-the-line tickets to the site (on request, at the cost of Euros 20.00 per person - or you can buy them on the spot, upon availability). Upon arrival in the charming village of Tivoli, your first stop will be Villa D'Este. This gorgeous villa is decorated with enchanting frescoes, but is most famous for its incredible fountain garden boasting hundreds of jets spurting water into numerous tubs and pools. The word beautiful does not begin to describe the wonder of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The next sight on the itinerary will make your jaw drop. Hadrian's Villa was a water-park set up by the emperor Hadrian almost 2000 years ago and amazingly much of this ancient wonder still remains to be admired to this day. Clearly not being a believer in 'less is more', this larger than life character made sure his 2nd century theme park included an artificial heated beach, a maritime theater, arenas, baths, libraries and palaces.
