Segesta is a famous archaeological site (about 70 Km Southwest of Palermo) which testify the ancient civilizations in Sicily, beginning with the elusive Elymians. It is best known in the world for its magnificent Doric Temple, unfinished. Erice is a mountain hamlet often surrounded by fog looking more similar to a center-Italian medieval hamlet than to a Sicilian village, but for sure is one of most beautiful little town in Italy.

The famous Doric Temple of Segesta and its theatre make of this place one of the finest archaeological sites of Sicily. The unfinished Doric temple (admission fee purchasable on the spot, approximately Euros 15 p. pax) was built late 5th century BC on a hilltop overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare and portrays charming and amazing views over a great part of North-west Sicilian coast.

Before reaching the next stop, your Private Driver will take you to enjoy an olive oil tasting and a typical Sicilian lunch while leisuring and relaxing at one of the charming farmhouses present in this area, surrounded with palms, olive trees and vineyards.

In the early afternoon you will be taken to Erice, located at the top of the homonymous mountain at a height of 751 meters above the sea level. This spot provides a wonderful view of the entire region, the Mediterranean Sea and the Egadi Islands. Walk through its ancient narrow and steep alleys and visit some of the famous homemade Erice pastry store, rightly celebrated for marzipan candies and other delicacies like almond and pistachio pastries, before driving back to Palermo with a scenic drive along the northern Sicily coast.
