The Vatican Museums inside the Vatican City are the most famous and greatest museums in the world. These museums display excellent art works from the immense collection built up by the Roman Catholic Church over the past many centuries.

This tour (4 hours) focuses on the famous masterpieces of the Vatican and of course the Sistine Chapel ceiling painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512. The ceiling of the large Sistine Chapel was built within the Vatican. These paintings feature Biblical stories about the Creation, Downfall and Salvation of Humankind.


Leaving the Sistine you will then experience St Peter's, for sure the most superb church on Earth: you will be close up with the world renowned Pieta' by Michelangelo and admire the architecture, statues and mosaics kept inside this awe-inspiring treasure trove, before ending in magnificent square designed by Bernini.

The tour ends with the transfer back to your centrally located Hotel in Rome.
